Trick-or-Treat

Catelyn celebrated her first halloween this month! She spent the day decked out in a festive outfit -- pumpkin shirt, candy corn pants, and black kitty-cat slippers -- and then the evening in a butterfly costume. She did very well in her costume and didn't complain a bit.

We went over to her Nene's house to roam the neighborhood for treats because she lives on a street that is much quieter than our own and a little more kid-walking friendly. Catelyn cruised around in the stroller while we went from house to house, but she walked the sidewalks leading up to the homes so she could stretch her legs and greet the people at their doors. She loved this particular holiday and had a lot of fun carrying her goodie bag up to the door and smiling at the new people she met. She got all kinds of candy (for her Momma and Daddy of course!), some animal crackers, and even a handmade quilted ball that she is quite fond of.

We trick-or-treated for about an hour and a half, and by that time Catelyn was starting to fade. We started the walk home and Catelyn was passed out before we even walked in the front door. She just had too much fun!

Catelyn you were such a beautiful butterfly, and there are some pretty happy people in these pictures with you. What fun and such a blessing that you can share your life with us like this. Thank your mommy for taking the time to do all your pretty pictures. Love to all, Jg
