Aaaannnnnddddd .... we're back!!!

Welcome back, oh faithful readers! I'm sorry it has been SOOOOO INCREDIBLY long since my last post. But things happen -- like having babies! -- and life gets a little chaotic. But I'm here, and the family is great, and life is good. So let the blogging begin! (again)

As I'm sure you have noticed by now, the Jones blog looks a little different than the last time you visited. I thought that after my brief hiatus I would revamp our blog as sort of a little kick off for the new posts that await you. Hope you like it :)

I'll give you a brief recap of the last 7 or so months to try and get you up to speed on life with the Jones. Bear with me as I reminisce.....

Mike and I had baby #2 this past February -- February 20th to be exact. We welcomed a goreous and healthy baby boy: Caleb Frederick. He came into this world without any complications (unlike the pregnancy!) and has been a ray of sunshine ever since. Even during those first few months of colicky evenings, we couldn't have asked for a better baby. He has the most gorgeous BIG blue eyes and a blonde-red head of hair. I am now officially the outcast in this red-headed family :)

Catelyn absolutely ADORES her little brother and is tickled pink to have a baby in the house. And it is safe to say that Caleb feels exactly the same way about his big sister. He just lights up every time he sees her. I foresee an incredible friendship in their future....

Caleb is now six months old and he is growing tremendously. He has his six month check up tomorrow so we'll find out exactly how much the chunky monkey weighs now. Let's just say that momma and daddy will have arms of steel after carrying this little one around! He has two teeth now (and more on the way as indicated by all of the drooling and chewing he has been doing). He sits up really well on his own and is even rolling over for us. He has the best smile and an even cuter laugh -- his eyes turn into little half moons and practically disappear whenever he gets a big grin on his face. What a joy that little boy is!

Catelyn is growing up TOO FAST. What a little person she has become! She is two and half now and is really showing off her personality. She has more energy than I ever thought possible and her laugh still makes my heart melt. Our big girl is potty trained now -- something that she did all by herself about 2 or 3 months ago. She just up and decided one day that she would tell us every time she needed to go and she has ever since. She really is doing tremendously! I guess it was just something that had to be her idea, and not something we wanted her to do :)

So I hope that has caught you up to speed a bit. I know I can't possibly tell you all about the last 7 months, but I'm sure over the next several posts you'll feel a little more informed and familiar with us again. Thanks for the patience and dedication! Cheers :)
