Today, she really enjoyed walking back and forth between two rather large flower pots (well, flowerless pots to be exact) that we have on our front porch and pick up the little balls of dirt that have accumulated in them. She would then drop the dirtballs between the bars of the railing to the ground below. She was totally concentrating on this task. We just kept wondering "what is going on in that little brain of hers while she does this so intently?" She seems to be very detail oriented. Perhaps I should unleash her on the weeds that have sprouted up in our walkway? :)

A future gardener?
It is a beautiful day today on this first of May, and so we decided to enjoy some outdoor time. Catelyn LOVES being outside. Absolutely LOVES it. She loves to run around and explore. She finds such pleasures in the little things -- a rock is a total treasure to her, or an acorn, or a caterpillar inching slowly along the ground. She is a complete reminder to us to slow down and enjoy the little things.

I can't believe how big she's gotten since the last time I saw her! And her hair is really growing! We have to have a play-date soon!
