Assateague Island -- Beach

After we went hiking on Assateague Island, there was a gorgeous beach that we walked to. The sand was soft and a light gray color and the water was a beautiful mixture of cool blues and grays. There was a strong wind blowing through, so there were lots of people flying their kites and putting the breezes to use. Some people braved the weather and wore bikinis, although it was quite chilly there on the water. We stayed in our warmer shorts and t-shirts. The water was still pretty cold too, and so the kiddies didn't play in it for too long. After we enjoyed the view and met some friendly dogs, we decided to head back to the cars and fill our hungry tummies. What a great way to spend a Saturday!
