Easter Egg Hunting Practice

Every year our church has an Easter Egg Hunt the day before Easter. This is the first year that Catelyn is able to actively participate in the event (she was only a few months old last year) so we were all pretty excited. Mike thought it would be a good idea for Catelyn to get some practice in before we showed up for the actual hunt (he is just too smart -- I never even thought of that!). So we got Catelyn a basket and set out hiding eggs around our living room.

After Mike showed her what she was supposed to do, she got busy searching for those eggs. And boy, did she get into it! She was very focused and concentrated so hard as she scanned the room for those eggs. And once she found one, her eyes would light up and she'd start squealing and waving her hands (photo to document this below). She'd run over to the little treasure that she had found, grab it, and run it back to her basket. I think she even kissed one of the eggs in sweet victory (photo below as well). We did this activity for quite a while and she loved every minute of it. Her daddy is so smart to think of something so fun to do. I think our little bunny is ready for the hunt!
