We were so blessed to have Mike's mom and stepdad Curt here, as well as Mike's best friend Ed, for Catelyn's first birthday and to share in our Thanksgiving day. They were able to stay for an entire week, which surprisingly, didn't seem long enough! We spent our days enjoying one another's company, savoring some of the local cuisine, and the men installed the french doors to Catelyn's new playroom. We also prepared Catelyn's first birthday party and a Thanksgiving feast -- so now you understand why the trip seemed to go by so quickly!
Grandma got some much needed cuddle time with her granddaughter during this trip. Catelyn loved rocking on the porch with Sharon and being smothered with hugs and kisses. Our little bookworm read lots of books with the family and loved the one-on-one attention. We were so happy for the long visit and for the time that they took off of work to come stay with us. We look forward to many more trips again like that in the future!
