Myrtle Beach - Part One

Sarah and her mom decided that they needed a little vacay... So the planning began and a trip was underway! Mike was going to be in Georgia for boat training, so they thought it would be perfect to vacation in Myrtle Beach, so Mike could join them on his way home. Plus, Catelyn had never been to the beach yet, and we were in desperate need to introduce her to some sand!

Catelyn was a real trooper with the traveling. We had an eight hour drive and she did so well! The last two hours were a little draining, but we all got through it. We just made sure we stopped at just about every Cracker Barrel we could (Mom's favorite) so that we could get out and stretch and fill up our tummies with some good Southern cooking.

We spent four wonderful, relaxing days sitting on our hotel room balcony and snuggling up on a blanket on the warm sand. Catelyn absolutely loved every minute -- she especially had fun digging her hands and feet in the wet sand and "walking" into the small waves coming up on the beach. We have officially inducted her into the "shell seekers" club and she now has her own little stash of shell treasures that will be placed in jars and displayed in her room. She is such a beach baby!
