The First Month (0 Months Old)

The first month of Catelyn's life certainly proved to be the busiest. Not only was Sarah (and Mike!) recovering from the delivery, but we were also adjusting to getting very little sleep and taking care of our little bundle of joy 24-7. We were able to spend so much time with family and friends, and also celebrate her first Thanksgiving together as a new family.

Catelyn spent the first month of her life putting on some much needed weight, trying to figure out a structured feeding schedule (eating every two hours!), and getting sleep whenever she could get it. Holding her head up on her own was something she was able to do right after delivery -- totally amazing! She also added smiling to her list of accomplishments in December. What a wonderful feeling it is to have your little one flash that special grin just for you.
