Beach Baby

We were blessed to spend another summer vacation in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, this year. We packed up the car and headed down the coast very early on the morning of July 26th. Momma, daddy, and Nene were in one car with Catelyn, and Uncle Will, Uncle Chris, and Amy were following in their own car. We spent most of the day traveling, but got to our three bedroom condo around 5:30 that evening. We got the cars unloaded, the bags unpacked, and proceeded to enjoy our week long vacation.

Of course, we spent just about every day down on the beach. We were able to squeeze in some other activities while we were there -- pool time, Alligator Adventure, dinners out, shopping -- but the majority of the time we were there we spent soaking up the sand and the sun. Catelyn LOVED it. She is such an outdoors baby (have I mentioned that before??). That girl could be outside all day long and never tire of it. She loved being able to dig in the sand to her heart's content and run as far, and as long, as she wanted on the open beach. We bought her her very own little wagon with beach toys to tote, and she enjoyed pulling that along behind her (first photo below). We built a few sandcastles that week, but Catelyn really enjoyed knocking them down more than she did building them. In the last photo below, she is pointing to the ground and telling daddy to "sit" so they can build some more. Such a fun girl!
