The Fifth Month (4 Months Old)

Catelyn is now in her fifth month!! She is definitely showing how fast she is growing with all of the things she is doing now. Her latest accomplishment is drinking out of a glass (with adult supervision of course)! One day she was watching Sarah take a drink and she reached right out for the glass and pulled it to her mouth. We are now helping her take "big girl drinks" of water from a cup. She thinks she is really something, and we couldn't agree more. Now we can't have a glass in our hands without her trying to get a sip too!

Our little peanut is really ready to go. She is practicing standing and even holding onto the edge of our coffee table while she does it. We still think she may skip crawling altogether and go straight to walking. Her eyes really light up when she's standing and able to view the world from a higher place.

Catelyn was also able to celebrate her first Easter! She got to celebrate it twice (that lucky girl), once in Maryland with her Nene, and the second time in Kansas with Mike's family. She even got two Easter baskets, which you will see her posing with below.

The weather here in Maryland has been beautiful lately. The warm weather has encouraged us to head outdoors and do a little gardening. Catelyn enjoys sitting in her stroller in the shade of the porch and watching while momma and Scout work around the yard. The gentle breezes help her drift off for a nap when she is feeling really relaxed. She just loves to be outside and watch everything that is happening around her. We're sure it won't be long until she is out there getting her hands in the dirt too!
